Last week I discussed the readings with everyone and I want to explain further that any extra readings outside of our class on Sunday are just that, EXTRA. It is a benefit to the lesson and our discussions in our class, but in no way should you feel any kind of pressure or feel loaded down by something extra, beyond all your school work during the week and other activities that you have. Please know that I understand this.
With that being said, what I really want is just for us all to have a great time in our class on Sunday. I dont want anyone feeling left out or feeling nervous to attend class. I just want to see all your beautiful faces!
So.......
If there is anyone who is still interested, there is good news! The last reading of Doctrine and Covenants 25 was THE LAST READING! Yay!
Since it is the last reading (and like I said last week in class) I am NOT going to hand out any kind of quiz/quizzes on Sunday. If you are still participating in the reading challenge, this is the last assignment:
I want you to write a paragraph of what Section 25 is about and tell me your favorite scripture verse, and why. You can either hand the paper to me on Sunday or you may email it to me at cherylhitch@gmail.com
I hope you all are having a wonderful weekend.
See you tomorrow!

WEEK 8 READING ASSIGNMENT
Sorry to get this out so late (once again) but I am not going to make this hard.
Please read Section 9 of the Doctrine and Covenants. Also, please read the chapter heading. Remember that after Martin Harris was not allowed to help translate, Oliver Cowdery, as an answer to Joseph's prayer, came to help Joseph.
(remember our curtain during class when Annie read and Brea tried to translate?)
{Oh, I also wanted to mention, if you happen to have questions or a comment here on the blog, click on the COMMENT button and post your comment.}
See you soon.
Have a wonderful weekend!
...and as requested, here is a pic of Em. <3 <3 <3

Week 7 (?)
Hello there! I feel like the week has been zooming by! I loved having Sister Bishops class to visit last week. That was a lot of fun. I learned a lot about Joseph Smith and Martin Harris (and the 116 pages) along with you all.
The reading assignment this week is:
Doctrine and Covenants, Section 3
I will definitely have some little questionnaire for this Sunday. And since I didn't have one for last week, you MIGHT want to read up on last weeks assignment. We need to catch up on our points.
I am excited for this Sunday. I hope you can all be there. I will be bringing a treat!

READING ASSIGNMENT week 5
NEXT week we have Stake Conference so we wont be meeting as a class. Hopefully that means you will have more time to read the assignment and study it. It might be fun, too, to share what you learned from it with your family (wink wink {bonus point}...)
THE LESSON will be on Joseph going and getting the gold plates. Here is the reading:
Joseph Smith History 1: 59-65
2 Nephi 27: 15-20
If you prepare a few sentences explaining how the scripture in 2 Nephi correlates to the Joseph Smith History scripture, you will get another point.
I hope you girls have a great week. Call me if you have any questions.
